Effect of sintering temperature on the field emission properties of carbon nanotubes

摘要 采用丝网印刷制备碳纳米管(CNT)阴极的过程中,烧结工艺不仅影响着CNT薄膜的稳定性,而且决定最终阴极的场发射性能,已经成为制约场发射电流提升的瓶颈。本文重点研究了烧结温度对CNT场发射性能的影响,通过测试不同烧结曲线所制备的阴极场发射性能,分析了烧结温度对阴极附着力、散热性能的影响机理,阐明了场发射性能产生差异的原因,最终通过最优烧结温度,制备出场发射电流密度达到1 A/cm^2的CNT阴极。 In this paper, the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) films were prepared by using screen- printing method. Current researches show that the final sintering process affects the capability of field e- mission of CNTs and determines the stability of cathode film, has become the bottleneck that restricts the field emission current. The paper focuses on the effect of sintering temperature on the field emission performance. The field emission properties of the CNTs are measured under different conditions in order to analyze the influence of sintering temperature on the cathode adhesion and heat dissipation perform- ance. The maximum field emission current density is 1 A/cm2 at the sintering temperature of 260 ~C. Experiments and mechanism analysis show that the interfacial bonding properties and thermal radiation properties of CNTs cathode and substrate can be improved by optimizing the sintering temperature, which is beneficial to larger emission current density.
