Discussion On the Application of Foreignization in News Translation——Han Shan Yi, Han Jie Fang Jun Nan as Example

本文结合新闻翻译特点,通过分析、对比归化与异化二者的功能与优势,指出异化为主要策略,并以中外媒体对政治名言——"撼山易,撼解放军难"的英译本为具体例证,进一步阐述异化在此领域的可行性与适用性。

In accordance with news translation＇s features, by analyzing and comparing the functions and strengths of both domestica- tion and foreignization,the paper indicates that foreignization is the main strategy in such field. To further explain its feasibility and ap- plicability, the paper instances on the C-E translation of ＂Han Shan Yi, Han Jie Fang Jun Nan＂,a famous political quote, translated re- spectively by domestic and foreign media.
