平行文本理论下的大学校名英译研究

Study on the English translation of names of Universities under the theory of parallel texts

当前,各国之间的联系日益紧密,各国间的经济文化交流也日益频繁,英语是当前世界交流中应用的主要语种,同时教育水平也被纳入综合国力的评比中,校名是学校的基础代号,在对外交流中有着举足轻重的作用。结合当前校名翻译来看仍旧存在种种纰漏,平行文本能最大限度体现原文并展现文本的原有体裁,将其运用到校名英译中,能够使校名的翻译更具写实性和科学性,明确的表达出学校的性质和办学方向,对日后的跨国交流意义重大。本文对平行文本进行了简要说明,阐述当前校名英译的状况,论述平行文本下,校名英译的相关策略。

at present, the relationship between countries is increasingly close, the economic and cultural exchanges between coun- tries have become increasingly frequent, English is the main language used in the world at the same time, the level of education has al- so been included in the comprehensive national strength competition, is the foundation of the school school code, which plays an impor- tant role in foreign exchange with the current names. There are still various view of translation errors, parallel text can maximally re- flect the original genre and show the original text, the translation of names, names can make the translation more realistic and scientif- ic, clear and express the nature of the school and the school direction, for days after the international exchange of great significance. This paper gives a brief description of the parallel text, this paper describes the current situation of English translation of names, paral- lel text, strategies of C-E translation of names.
