董玉书与《宝昌杂录》

Dong Yushu and Baochang Miscellany

董玉书是前清遗老,从现存其诗词、书法、回忆录可知其人是一位典型文士。其著《宝昌杂录》辑录了东北、新疆、宁夏、张家口等地的珍贵史料和奇闻逸事;《芜城怀旧录》则记载了晚清文人及后代在扬州的文化事迹,保留了许多文献资料。

From the existing poetry, calligraphy, memoirs can be seen that Dong Yushu is a classical scholar of pre--Qing dynasty. His book Baochang Miscellany has recorded precious historical materials and news stories in northeast China, Xinjiang, Ningxia and Zhangjiakou. Wu Cheng Huai Jiu Lu has recorded the cultural deeds of the literati and the descendants of the late Qing dynasty in Yangzhou, and meantime many documents have retained in this book.
