The Idea of CBI Used in Guidance of Vocational English Writing Contest

以内容为依托的教学模式（content-based instruction,CBI）是融语言学习与内容学习为一体的教学模式,是以语言为载体,通过学习学科知识来掌握语言。我国高职英语写作课程旨在培养学生英语书面表达的基本知识和写作技能,提升写作综合能力。梳理、阐释CBI理念的理论依据,以近几届英语写作大赛为例,探讨CBI教学模式在高职高专英语写作大赛辅导中的具体应用。

Content-based Instruction is a mode of language acquisition combined with content learning. It is a way of learning language through learning a certain subject. The writing course in Vocational College in our country is to promote the writing skills and abilities of students. The National Vocational English Writing Contest began in 2010,whose purpose is to attract students＇ eyes in English writing,to promote their language competence,and then to improve the whole quality of language education in China. By stating the concept of CBI and analyzing some examples,the essay discussed how CBI idea used in guidance of vocational English writing.
