韦政通教授是二十世纪中国富有创造性的思想家之一,他认为人文教育的目的在于启发青年寻求人生的意义,人文教育的特性是体验重于思辨,人文教育目标的实现需要一个开放的社会。韦政通教授一生传奇式的奋斗与拼搏历程,正是他人文教育思想的实践,是一个人文教育不可多得的典范。韦政通教授人文教育思想与实践启示我们,人文教育的目的不仅仅是成就品德,更是成就人生;人文教育的重点不在知识获取,而在生命体验;人文教育的方式不仅是说给人听,而且要活给人看。
Wei Zhengtong is one of creative ideologists in 20 th century. He thinks humanistic education is to inspire the young to seek the meaning of life. Humanistic education is characterized with experience overweighing critical thinking. Professor Wei's struggling life course is the practice of his humanistic education thought, which reflects that the purpose of humanistic education is not only to achieve morality, but also life; the key of humanistic education is not to acquire knowledge but experience life; the mode of humanistic education is not speak to others but lead a life.
