明清晚期的中国妇女受封建社会制度和观念的压迫。鸦片战争打开了中国封闭的大门,欧美诸国的女权思想和实践传入中国,随后中国兴起了妇女解放运动。中国的妇女解放运动在生产力发展、先进思想引导和公共教育扩大的背景下成效显著,主要表现在男女平等、进入公共生活领域、贞洁与婚恋观以及政治权利等方面。

In the late Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Chinese women were oppressed by the feudal society.As the Opium War opened the Chinese closed door,the feminism thoughts and practice of European and American countries spread into China.And China began to rise the women's liberation movement.Its achievement is remarkable in the background of the development of productive forces,advanced ideas and the public education,mainly displaying in the equality between men and women,to enter the field of public life,sexual ethics,as well as political rights.
