基于语料库的《孙子兵法》英译本研究

Research on the English Version of The Art of War Based on Corpus

对《孙子兵法》的英译本进行研究,并不是一项只关系到语言学、翻译学这两门学科的课题,这项研究还囊括了文献学、传播学甚至是有关中国古典哲学的相关知识。对《孙子兵法》进行英文翻译,不是将汉语转化为英语那么简单,而是要从中国的古典文化出发,并且用西方读者能够理解的方式,对《孙子兵法》中那个风起云涌的世界进行描述,最终达到传播中国文化的目的。为了更好地对《孙子兵法》英译本进行研究,从《孙子兵法》的英译本概述出发,阐述了全球语境与《孙子兵法》英译本之间的关系,最后对英译本中《孙子兵法》的语料库进行了研究。

The study on the English version of The Art of War not only relates to the subject being linked with linguistics and translation, also covers the relevant knowledge concerning philology, communication, and even classical Chinese philosophy. The translation of The Art of War is not an easy job if one just converts Chinese into English; but rather the translator should start from the classical Chinese culture and describe the turbulent world in the The Art of War with the understandable way by western readers to ultimately achieve the goal of promoting Chinese culture. In order to better study the English version of The Art of War, this paper, starting from overviewing the English version of The Art of War, expounds its relationship with the global context and makes a study on the corpus.
