On strengthening and regulating political life principle of Communist Party of China

加强和规范党内政治生活是加强和改进党的建设的基本途径和基本抓手,这是一条重要的党建规律。准确把握、自觉遵循和运用这一党建规律必须牢牢抓住以下几点:加强和规范党内政治生活就是要求开展严肃认真的党内政治生活;开展严肃认真的党内政治生活是马克思主义政党本质属性和独特优势,是党的生机、力量的源泉和保证,其关键是开展严肃认真的批评和自我批评。新形势下把握和运用这一规律必须特别注意:坚持和运用民主集中制处理好党内同志间的平等关系与因权力和服从而产生的上下级关系,使二者并行不悖。

Strengthening and regulating political life of Communist Party of China is the basic means and basic instrumentality of strengthening and improving Communist Party ＇s construction,which is an important principle of party construction. While following and applying this principle of party construction,we need to keep in mind that strengthening and regulating political life of Communist Party of China is meant to take the party＇s political life seriously; that the serious political life within the party is the essential property and unique advantage of the specific political party. It is also the source of energy and vitality of the party,and the key is serious criticism and self-criticism. Grasping and applying the principle under the new situation we must stick to the principle of democratic centralism to deal with the equal relationship among comrades and deal with the supervisor-subordinate relationship resulting from power and obedience.
