西南联大后期在闻一多的发动下,渐渐恢复了民主生气,产生了新诗社,形成了朗诵诗热潮。朗诵诗思潮与民主思潮协同并进,遂成为昆明一场声势浩大的朗诵诗运动。史料表明,西南联大的朗诵诗运动不是重庆等城市朗诵诗运动的继承发展,而是以新诗社为主体的西南联大师生独立探索、锐意推行的结果。在这场朗诵诗运动中,西南联大师生创作了杰出的朗诵诗作品,有的进入中国现代文学代表作的行列。因此,西南联大的朗诵诗运动是值得肯定与研究的。把西南联大的朗诵诗运动放在中国现代朗诵诗发展史上,又可以看到这样的历史景观:西南联大的朗诵诗运动上承重庆,下启华北,中出昆明,处于中国朗诵诗运动的关键节点上。因此,西南联大的朗诵诗运动具有独立的地位,且对我国的朗诵诗运动具有中兴的意义。

In the history of modern China＇s recitation poems, the poem recitatiowest United University can be seen from such a historical landscape： poem recitation movement of Southwest United University originated from Chongqing,initiated that in North China,and came into being in Kunming,which was located in the joints of China＇s poem recitation movements. Therefore, this movement has not only an independent status,but also a significant restoration recitation movement.
