The Core Spirit and Contemporary Value of Red Culture

在对中国共产党领导的中国革命历程整体把握的基础上,切入对于中国革命之"红色"叙事缘起及其隐喻的揭示。狭义的红色文化主要喻指红色革命文化,其精神源流上溯中华优秀传统文化,近接近代救亡文化和革命文化,与马克思主义传入中国后的五四新文化融会,与民族的科学的大众的新民主主义文化相贯通,下启中国特色社会主义文化。红色文化的精神内核集中体现在四个紧密依存而又各有侧重的面向:革命理想主义、革命英雄主义、革命乐观主义和革命集体主义。红色文化的当代价值在于坚定理想信念,增进政治认同,提升文化自信,助力社会主义先进文化建设。

This paper approaches the origin and source of Chinese “Red Revolution” and reveals its metaphor based on the overal grasp of Chinese revolution history led by CCP. The limited sense of Red Culture means the Red Revolution Culture. It traces to Chinese excellent traditional culture, also Salvation Culture and Revolution Culture of recent times, combines with May 4th New Culture after Maxism’s spreading in China, linked up with New Democratism Culture and followed by Socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. The contemporary value of Red Culture is uprearing determined ideality, promoting political identity, enhancing cultural self-confidence and helping the construction of advanced socialist culture.
