孝悌之道是中华传统文化的核心价值,是由形上层次、社会层次、生活层次构成的与时俱进的系统。近代以来,许多学者认为体现自然情感的孝悌与具有普遍性的仁爱是冲突的。其实,孝悌是自然情感与道德情感的统一,是由孝爱扩展而成的普遍化的道德情感或情理,具有超越中国传统社会的普遍价值,应该成为涵养社会主义核心价值观的重要源泉。

Many scholars think fieliality is selfish and contradicts with universal humanity since modem times. In fact, fieliality is the unity of natural emotion and moral emotion, an universal rationality. Fieliality which has the universal values beyond the traditional society is a system of metaphysics, society and life. It should become an important source of the socialistic core values.
