《康8纪行》系姚莹于道光年间两次入藏期间所撰记述川藏地理人事的书。但该书不仅是一部重要的边疆史地著作,也是一部充分反映姚莹民族思想的著作。书中所述充分体现了姚莹民族思想中"以夏变夷、和抚为主"的夷夏观,"因俗而治、增兵设防"的管理观,和"民族统一、不容分裂"的一统观。分析姚莹这独具特色的民族观,对于我们进一步研究他的思想有着重要的意义。

Kang You Travel Notes is a book that written by Yao Ying during his twice entry into Tibet from Chengdu in the period of Emperor Daoguang,which recorded the geography,the local people and the characteristic customs in the Sichuan and Tibet. However,it is a famous book that describes China＇s borderland history and geography,but also reflects the national outlook of Yao Ying. The book fully embodies Yao Ying＇s national thought,including the Yi-Xia View of ＂ transforming border regions with central China,and taking amity and conciliation as priority ＂,the management view of ＂ governing according to the local customs,and increasing fortification by more troops ＂,and the unification view of＂maintaining national unity,and preventing national separation＂. The analysis of Yao Ying＇s unique national outlook is of great significance to further our study on his thoughts.
