On the Passage Motif of the Female in the Story of “the Snake Husband”

蛇郎童话的表层讲述的是姐妹俩在嫁蛇郎这一事件上的纠葛与斗争,然而运用民俗材料与心理分析方法加以阐释,三姐善良而大姐狠辣的形象则被颠覆,故事深层的内涵和价值也被揭示出来——通过讲述姐妹纠葛及三姐变形复活的故事,精彩地讲述了女性的成长,呈现了其从少女到妻子的女性角色转换与身份认同的复杂而激烈的心理过程。

At the superficial level, “TheSnake Husband” tells about the struggle between thesisters with regard to the marriage with the snake husband. However,by using the folk materials andthe psychological analysis to interpret the story, this paper will destroy the isister and the vicious elder sister, and will reveal the deep connotations and the value of the story. Through describing the entanglements between the sisters, and the deformation and resurrection of the younger sister,the paper presents the complex psychological process and the identity transforma-tion of the younger sister from a young girl to a wife.
