Prostate cancer with pelvic lymph node metastases is defined as a regional disease.Recent studies have reported that aggressive local treatment may benefit some patients.With updated research advances,we have clearly understood the lymphatic disseminative pattern of prostate cancer,and have transformed field-extended lymph node dissection to metastases-targeted regional dissection,thus optimizing patient selection based on the biological features of primary tumor.
