陈诗所编《皖雅初集》作为一部地方诗歌总集,所收诗篇在时间上贯穿清代,范围上总括全皖,它在一定程度上展现了清代安徽文学的地域发展格局。文学的地域特质,不仅受其自然、人文环境的影响,还与地域紧密相关的宗族特征有着很大的关联,因此该书在编辑过程中,既注意梳理区分宗族关系,重视宗族迁移的源流,同时又有意识地保存文学趣尚的多样化阶层与群体特色。地域、宗族、社群三者密切关联,成为统一的文学整体。

Wanya Chuji compiled by CHEN Shi is a local poetry collection. Since the poems were created in the Qing dynasty in Anhui, the collection shows the regional development of Anhui literature in the Qing dynasty. The regional feature of literature is not only influenced by natural and humanistic surroundings but also related to the clan feature of the area. In the compilation of the book, CHEN Shi paid attention to sorting out the clan relationship and the origin of clan migration. He also maintained the diversified class and group features. Region, clan and group are closely related and become a literary unity.
