On the Rational and Free Heart

人类面临的最基本问题莫过于人的思想的无限性与生命的有限性的问题,以及由此引发的人们内心的浮躁、焦灼、忧郁和心灵异化。因此,安心立命乃是人的首要任务,也是哲学研究的根本命题。在中国传统哲学里,天命、道理、人性统一于心。人"心"乃是人对于世界理性认识的内在自觉,也是人的自由意志的总枢纽和人内存的真理性世界。自由意志是人的所有意志里最为强大的,也是全部意志的前提与基础。"心"即是人的自由意志的综合表现。为人处世,养心为要。养心之道:一是要正其心,明其性;二是要重细末,重内省;三是要守规矩,有恒心。吾在吾心,从而达到从心所欲而不逾矩的自由境界。

The essential problem humans are faced with is the conflict between the limitless thoughts and the limited life,by which a series of emotional problems are caused,such as anxiety,depress,fickleness and distorted soul. Therefore,following your heart and submitting to destiny is the primary mission for human beings,as well as the basic topic of the research of philosophy. In the Chinese traditional philosophy,destiny,morality and humanity are unified in heart and soul. The heart of a person is the inside rational awareness for the outside world,the centre of the free will and the rational world of inherence. Free will is the most powerful one among all the qualities,serving as the base and premise. 'Heart and Soul'is the integrative reflection of the free will. To live a life,it is of vital importance to nourish the heart. Tips are as follows: firstly,upright your mood and clearly understand your humanity; secondly,attach importance to the details and reconsideration upon yourself; what's more,you should obey the regulations and be perseverant. Follow your heart and you will achieve a state of freedom,where you can attain whatever you desire without breaking the rules.
