The detection principle of switching characteristic is introduced. DC and AC test characteristics, test methods and judgment basis are analyzed.Combined with field test, the switch is tested and compared.The results show that AC and DC tes ting can complement each other to detect and diagnose the running state of on load tap changer,and accumulate valuable experi ence and data for the follow-up operation and maintenance.
