A Pale View of Hills, a maiden work of Kazuo Ishiguro, displayed the vision of cultural identification by immigrant groups. The cultural vagrants wandering away from their homeland all suffered from experiencing the root -losing of culture tradition and lacking of the new value system identification. The traumatic narration showed the confusion and anxiety the author has confronted and his motivated historical memories. The practice of the protagonist Etsuko＇ s efforts of combining identity belongings and traumatic memories transcended the oriental post-colonist narration, representing the author＇ s new attempt to construct the international identity narration.
