初唐贞观君臣的文学观

The Emperor's and His Ministers' Literature View during the Zhenguan Period of Early Tang Dynasty

初唐贞观君臣因叙史而及文学,批评齐梁文学为"亡国之音",其"轻险"文风有悖教化,无益有害。但他们的诗歌理论与创作实践相矛盾,在批评齐梁文风时,却受其影响在创作上深陷"轻险"中。他们认为文学抒发性灵变化无方,且有帝王好尚和文人才学的作用,文体文风之变成为自然的追求。

In the early Tang Dynasty,Li Shimin and his ministers chatted about history and proceeded to touch upon literature,and they were critical of the literature in Qi and Liang Dynasties which they considered to be unhealthy and resultant in the demise of the state and its flirtatious style of writing was thought to be harmful and unfit for moral enlightenment. However,Li Siming and his ministers were contradictory in their theory and practice of poetic writing,for critical as they were of the writing style in Qi and Liang Dynasties,they were deeply affected by such a style in their poetic creation. In their opinion,as literature was flexible and diversified in its expression of one＇s emotions and temperament,it was quite natural to pursue the change in the literary form and the writing style thanks to the fondness on the part of the emperor and the role of the scholars.
