Chaebol Economy in South Korea:Reflections,Reforms and Implications to China

韩国在经济发展过程中打造了财阀企业。财阀为"汉江奇迹"立下了汗马功劳,也滋生了"政经勾结"现象和家族企业带来的各种弊端。该文首先回顾韩国的经济发展与财阀经济体制形成过程,主要是高速增长期的经济发展历程和调整转型期的经济政策;其次考察亚洲金融危机期间与近期的财阀企业困境,进而分析财阀经济的弊端;再次考察了财阀经济体制的最新改革;最后对韩国的财阀经济做出评论,并探讨对中国企业集团化之路的启示。

South Korea created the chaebols in the process of economic development. The chaebol enterprises have made great contributions to the ＂miracle of the Han river＂, but also give rise to the phenomenon of political and economic collusion as well as all kinds of malpractices brought about by the family business. Firstly, this paper reviews the economic development of South Korea and the formation of the chaebol economic system, including the economic development progress during the periods of rapid economic growth and economic policy during the economic transformation period. Secondly, this paper examines the dilemma the chaebol firms face during the Asian financial crisis period and the recent times, and analyzes the malpractices of the chaebol economy. Thirdly, this paper investigates the latest reform of the chaebol economic system and finally comments on the Korean Chaebol economy and the discusses its implications for China.
