This paper introduced the structure and properties of brominated polystyrene and its production process, summarized the development trend and application of brominated polystyrene in the flame retardant polymer materials, and pointed out that the development prospect of brominated polystyrene as flame retardant polymer environmental protection agent is very broad, especially in the aspect of flame retardant polymer materials.
