摘要
生态语言学和认知语言学都诞生于20世纪70年代。虽然两者的理论动因和学科本质在根本上不同,但两者并非没有可相互借鉴之处,主要原因有二:一是生态语言学和认知语言学都受到社会学视角下的"现实社会建构论"思想的影响。二是生态语言学和认知语言学研究视角都具有内在理论局限性。有鉴于此,我们指出,生态语言学和认知语言学的相互借鉴主要表现在三个方面:(1)生态语言学有助于丰富认知语言学的意义构建研究;(2)认知语言学有助于夯实生态语言学的理论基础;(3)认知语言学为生态语言学提供理论分析工具。探讨生态语言学与认知语言学之间的相互借鉴问题,不但有助于拓展彼此的研究范围,而且有助于丰富彼此的研究成果。
Both ecolinguistics and cognitive linguistics arose in the 1970 s. Due to their fundamentally different theoretical motivations and subject nature, the two perspectives seemingly diverge from each other. This paper explores the convergence of both approaches. There are two reasons for their convergence: on the one hand, both argue for a sociological theory that sees the society as a constructed reality; on the other hand, ecological and cognitive perspectives both have inherent theoretical limitations. As to the convergence, we hold the following points:(1) An ecolinguistic approach to language can help to enrich cognitive linguistic study of meaning construction.(2) A cognitive approach to language can help to consolidate the theoretical foundation of ecolinguistics.(3) Cognitive linguistic frameworks can serve as prominent theoretical tools for ecolinguistics. The discussion of the convergence between ecolinguistics and cognitive linguistics can not only help to broaden their range of study, but also help to enrich their academic researches.
