Answering the United Nations＇ call for governments to strengthen target 11,4 and target 16,10 in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, IFLA released Statement of ＂Libraries Safeguarding Cultural Heritage＂, The statement clarifies libraries＇ role and methods in protecting and preserving cultural heritage as well as IFLA＇s role in supporting documentary cultural heritage.
