中国古代“舆图”一词源流考

"舆图"是中国古代重要的科技档案名词,对其进行追本溯源、察流知变,具有重要的学术意义。"舆图"一词的产生可追溯至南北朝时期的早期,词义主要为地图或借喻疆土,两个主要义项在历史进程中未发生较大嬗变,一直沿用到清末。"舆图"一词的形成,符合主辅型(偏正式)双音词的羡余现象,应为复音词"舆地图"的简化形式,以消解多义重复。本文通过计量语言学方法对"舆图"历朝历代的使用频次进行了定量分析,测定其发展趋势线。

＂Yutu＂ is an important noun of scientific and technical archive in ancient China. It has important academic significance to trace to its source and observe the flow about the changes. The word ＂Yutu＂ can be traced back to the early age of the northern and Southern Dynasties. The original meaning of ＂Yutu＂ , ＂tu＂ or as the metaphor of territory, hadn＇t have large evolution in the course of history and has been extended to the late Qing Dynasty. The formation of the word ＂Yutu＂ matched the redundancy in the Main and Auxiliary （modification-center type） disyllabic words. As the simplified form of ＂Yuditu＂, it dispelled ambiguity and repetition. Based on quantitative linguistic approach, this paper analyzed the fre- quency of use of the word ＂Yutu＂ in the past dynasties and determined the trend of development.
