On a relation between the atom-bond connectivity index and the chromatic number

原子键连通性(ABC)指标能为直链和支链烷烃的稳定性以及环烷烃的应变能力提供了一个好模型.本文研究了原子键连通性指标与色数的关系,通过移除最小度点对原子键连通性指标的影响得到了χ(G)≤2^(1/2) ABC(G).

A good model for the stability of linear and branched alkanes as well as the strain energy of cycloalkanes can be provided by the atom-bond connectivity(ABC)index.In this paper,the relation between the atom-bond connectivity index ABC(G)and the chromatic numberχ(G)is studied,andχ(G)≤2^(1/2)ABC(G)is proved by using the effect of removal of a minimum degree vertex on the atom-bond connectivity index.
