Margaret Atwood as Canada＇s famous contemporary female poet, novelist, literary critic has won a number of the highest literary awards of European and American countries and she has been nominated for Nobel Prize in literature on many occasions. She lives in the historical period of dramatic changes in the status of women and the role of the family, her works are full of intensive ecological female consciousness, showing the hesitation for women in the society and their sense of concern for the environment and choosing different coping ways when the different oppressed women face. Also, her works stand for the feminist resistance and the ideology of maintaining nature.
