Style Exploration of the Two Versions of English Translation of Tsangyang Gyastso's Poems

六世达赖喇嘛仓央嘉措是西藏史上极富传奇色彩的人物,他所创作的诗歌在藏族人民中影响深远。迄今为止,关于仓央嘉措诗歌的英译有三个版本,本文以于道泉先生和李正栓、王密卿教授的两个英译本为研究对象,从韵律形式、翻译策略的选择等方面对其翻译风格进行比较分析,以使读者对仓央嘉措的诗歌有更全面的认识,全方位地领略其经久不衰的艺术魅力。

The sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyastso is the figure who is full of legend in Tibetan history.His poems have far-reaching influence among the Tibetan people.So far,there are three English versions of Tsangyang Gyastso's poems.Based on two English versions of Mr.Yu Daoquan and Pro.Li Zhengshuan and Wang Miqing,the author tries to make a comparative analysis on its translation style from the prosodic form and the choice of translation strategies in order to help readers have a more comprehensive understanding about Tsangyang Gyastso's poems,and appreciate its enduring artistic charm through the overall aspects.
