The pipeline crawler is equipment used for detection within gas pipeline. The system composition, working principle, advantages and disad- vantages, scope of application, detection steps and ap- plication requirements of pipeline crawler are analyzed. Combined with engineering examples, it is expounded that pipeline crawler is used to detect whether there are dent, deformation and other issues in buried gas pipe- line. The detection results provide an important basis for the quality evaluation of gas pipeline construction.
