缅甸银行业发展现状与中缅银行业合作探究

A study of the existing situation of Myanmar's banking industry and the relevant cooperation between China and Myanmar

由于人权、政治以及毒品等问题长期受到西方国家制裁,军政府统治下的缅甸曾被国际社会孤立,从曾经的亚洲粮仓变为世界最贫穷的国家之一。缅甸银行业发展也在很长一段时期内处于与国际银行业、国际银行组织割裂的状态,银行业封闭于金融全球化进程之外,成为东南亚地区金融中介水平最低的国家。近年来,缅甸大力推行政治、经济和社会改革与对外开放,银行业也正处于急速变革中,随着中缅两国经贸合作广度和深度的不断拓展,两国银行业合作面临巨大的发展机遇。

Due to its political and drug problems as well as human rights, Myanmar under the control of its military junta has long been sanctioned by Western countries, isolated from the international community, and has turned from an Asian granary into one of the poorest countries in the world. Myanmar＇s banking industry has also been isolated from the international banking groups or organizations, enjoying no financial globalization. Though at the lowest level of financial intermediation in ASEAN, Myanmar has recently pushed forward social, economic, political reforms and implemented the opening-up policy. As a result, its banking industry is experiencing rapid changes. Along with the extensive and intensive economic and trade cooperation between China and Myanmar, their cooperation in banking industry will have great development opportunities.
