This dissertation introduced the classification and function of automatic metering system and also showed the positive role of automatic metering system in line power loss management.Automatic metering system could reduce personal error in the process of metering.However, at the beginning of installation and commissioning, human factor may cause the collection error.If the human factor can be eliminated, the advantage of automatic metering system will be larger.
