摘要
以中国新闻奖和普利策奖获奖新闻作品的标题为例,探讨立场标记语的使用特征,并对比分析汉英新闻标题中立场表达的异同。汉语新闻标题中确定性立场标记语和言据性立场标记语资源比较丰富;而英语新闻标题中的模糊性立场标记语和评价性立场标记语则更为多见。这些特点和规律可以折射出中西方在新闻价值和写作模式上的一些不同。
Choosing Chinese and English news neaulme~ corpus, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the uses of stance markers. Chinese news headlines use more certainty and evidentiality while English headlines prefer more hedges and evaluations. The result may reveal different perceptions of news value and different writing modes between English and Chinese cultures.
