Objective To provide reference for prevention of dyslipidemia by investigating the incidence of dyslipidemia in PLA officers in Beijing and analyzing the correlations between dyslipidemia and metabolic diseases. Methods A cross-sectional study was made of the health examination data of 3 620 officers checked between 2014 and 2016, and the influence of metabolic disease indicators on dyslipidemia was analyzed with multi-factor binary logistic regression. Results The overall rate of dyslipidemia was 35.6%, and the incidence among males was obviously higher than among females (P〈0.01). The incidence of dyslipidemia was high in two age groups: people aged 45 to 54 and those aged 55 to 64. Gender, hypeluricemia, overweight or obesity, and hyperglycemia were significantly correlated with dyslipidemia in these two groups (P〈0.01). Conclusion The incidence of dyslipidemia in PLA young male officers and mid-aged and senior female officers has increased significantly, and there are significant positive correlations between hypeluricemia, overweight or obesity, hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia, suggesting that effective control of metabolic disorders is of great significance for prevention of dyslipidemia.
