2017年9月14日中午,来自重庆的合川区观赏石艺术协会常务副会长兼秘书长粟彪从中国观赏石协会的会议室里走了出来,他抑制不住内心的喜悦,笑逐颜开。就在几分钟前,寿嘉华会长郑重地宣布,重庆市合川区赏石艺术协会报审的合川铁纹石经审定通过,成为我国又一新的石种（图1、2）。两年前的6月中旬,重庆市酉阳县桃花观赏石协会向中国观赏石协会石种命名委员会成功申报了酉阳凸纹墨石和酉阳叠层石两个新石种。
September 14, 2017, Chairman Shou Jiahua solemnly announced Hechuan iron lines stone has become another new kind of stone.Hechuan is located in the northwest of Chongqing transportation hub and industrial center,Chongqing municipal forest city, the National Children’s painting village, China dragon village,the national science popularization demonstration area.In 2002 a Hechuan friend picked up the picture such as wire painted pebbles, in the river is very strange, very small amount. In 2007 the Hechuan Middle School of the Emerald City real estate in Zoran started digging the foundation, buried gravel exposed, after rain leaching, a gold iron lines depicting picture pebbles show in front of people.Professor Zhang Jiazhi proposed the name "iron stone". This is the beginning of this Hechuan festive ornamental stone association approved name in China. In expert assessment, Tianjin Association of the numerous ornamental stones carefully inspected the samples after said, like this is really rare Yangtze River Stone, which made great contributions to China’s rich culture of stone resources.
