土木工程英语翻译的“石化”及其对教学的启示

On Interpreting Fossilization Concerning Civil Engineering English and Its Enlightenment on University Specialty English Teaching

土木工程英语翻译具有很强的实用价值,但翻译的"石化"现象困扰我国工程企业参与海外国际工程实践活动,给我国大学土木工程英语教学带来负面影响。本文分析了土木工程专业英语翻译"石化"的原因,提出了大学土木工程专业英语教学改革方面的建议。

Interpretation of Civil Engineering English is of highly-practical value. But due to Interpretation Fos- silization of engineering English documents, many Chinese engineering corporations feel puzzled oversea and a lot of professors who teach engineering specialty English in domestic universities are also lost and feel hopeless in this concern. The teaching hasn＇ t played its due positive role. This paper analyzes the causes that lead to interpreta- tion fossilization and puts forward some constructive suggestions on university specialty English teaching reform.
