Local-foreign Conflict: The Envision and Actuality of Technological Revolution

技术革命作为"大跃进"的一个重要方面,需要引起更多的关注。在依靠"土办法"(依靠现有的技术和设备)还是"洋办法"(依靠现代机械化设备)发展工业的问题上,演化出一场"土洋之争"。当"土洋之争"进入官方舆论场域,土办法很快占据了绝对的优势,对洋办法的攻击,甚至上升到路线斗争的高度。"土洋之争"看似意识形态斗争,实则是一种配合政策的宣传口径。其背后折射出的是社会主义中国在赶超西方先进国家、进行工业革命道路上遭遇的难题。

The technological revolution,as an important aspect of 'great leap forward',need to attract more attention. In order to develop industry,whether relying on the 'local method'( relying on the existing technology and equipment) or'foreign method'( relying on modern mechanical equipment),caused a 'local-foreign conflict'. When the conflict came into the official public opinion field,the local solution quickly occupied the absolute advantage,and the attack on the foreign method got to the height of the struggle line. The 'local-foreign conflict'appeared to be the ideological struggle,but in reality a propaganda strategy coordinating with policy. It reflected the problem which the socialist China encountered when catching up with the advanced western countries,and carrying out the industrial revolution.
