Lean-led Hospital and Healthcare Facility Design in America

精益设计是美国新兴的医院建筑设计哲学及方法,源自人们对医疗资源投入及其所得成效的思考。其核心理念涵盖两方面:第一,提升医院设计价值,包括消除一切浪费和对建筑全生命周期的价值挖掘;第二,对人员的尊重,包括提高患者满意度和医护人员职业尊严等内涵。精益设计经常应用于医疗流程的分析、空间秩序的建立、决定性功能的策划等方面。拟通过典型案例对精益设计进行介绍性分析,以期为我国医院建筑的设计与建设提供新的思路。

Lean-led design is a new methodology about hospital design which originates from profound rethinking about the medical resource investment and its effect. The core concept of lean-led design includes two aspects. One is to achieve the continuous improvement of hospital design through the elimination of all wastes and digging the value during the whole life cycle. The other is reflecting the respect through improving patients＇ satisfaction and medical staff＇s professional dignity. Lean-led is often used in the analysis of medical process, establishment of spatial order, planning of decisive function, etc. Through selecting several application cases, this paper tries to provide a new perspective about hospital design and construction for China.
