摘要
《马贩子的女儿》主要讲述了马贩子的女儿梅布尔的故事。运用神话原型批评理论,深刻剖析梅布尔这一人物形象及其内心情感变化。通过分析得出,这篇短篇小说是以夏娃、女巫以及阿尼姆斯为原型,突出了女主人公的生活背景、人生经历、性格特点以及心理变化。小说借助《圣经》中"水"的原型,丰富了"水"这一意象,从而烘托了小说的氛围,推动了故事情节的发展。
The Horse Dealer＇s Daughter tells us the story of horse dealer＇s daughter-Mabel. From the per- spective of mythological archetypal criticism, this paper makes a profound analysis of the image of Mabel and her inner feelings. This short story is based on Eve, Witch and Aniemus, highlighting the heroine＇s life background, life experience, personality traits and psychological changes. With the help of the arche- type of the ＂water＂ in the Bible, Lawrence enriched the image of ＂water＂, in order to contrast atmos- phere, promote the development of the story.
