“圣王”之罪:荀子政治哲学批判

摘要 荀子政治哲学是儒家政治哲学由"内圣"而"外王"的重要一环,荀子将"圣人"理想落实于现实的"君主",使"圣王"成为进行社会治理的中枢。荀子的"圣王"政治模糊了"圣人"与"君主"的界限,引发了"圣"与"王"之间的内在紧张。荀子并没有为其"圣王"理论提供一种令人信服的论证,其后果便造成了理想与现实的断裂,也为后来君主专制社会的危机埋下了隐患。荀子"圣王"理论的弊病在于过分依赖于"圣王",其"民本"也是以"圣王"为基础的,我们只有走出荀子的"圣王"思维,实现从"民本"到"民主"的转化,充分发挥个体在社会中的主动性,才有助于促进社会民主与进步。 Xunzi's political philosophy is a important part of the Confilcian political philosophy from "internal saints" to "external king", Xunzi put "saints" ideal to the reality of "monarch", the "sage" becomes the center of social govern- ance. Xunzi's "sage" politics blurs the boundaries of the "saints" and "monarch", triggered a internal tension between "Saint" and "King". Xunzi does not provide a convincing argument for the "sage" theory, causing the fracture between the ideal and the reality, hiding troubles for later autocratic monarchy. The ills of Xunzi "sage" theory is overly relying on the "sage", the "people-oriented" bases on the "sage" we only walk out of Xunzi' s "sage" thinking, achieving the transformation from "people-oriented" to "democracy", developing individual initiative in the society, we can help to pro- mote social democracy and progress.
