As the founder of modern political philosophy and Machiavelivianism of international relations realism, Machiavelli plays an important role in the study of modern political philosophy and international relations. The article points out that the concept of natural human nature is the basis of its empirical political method and realist philosophy,and the concept of state is the kernel of its political realism whose salient features are the justice,which is the necessity and purpose of the power,and the political and moral separation in the national public affairs. The article emphasizes that the concept of national reason is the essence of its political realism and plays an important role in modern world history and contemporary interna- tional relations.
