World Olympic Cities Invited to Set Sail in Qingdao at the Global Promotion of "The Sailing City", the Urban Brand of Qingdao

为探讨世界奥林匹克城市联盟现在及未来发展,深化奥运遗产开发利用,共享奥运发展成果,应世界奥林匹克城市联盟、加拿大蒙特利尔市政府、美国普莱西德湖村市政府邀请,青岛派员赴加拿大蒙特利尔参加2017世界奥林匹克城市联盟峰会暨第四届智能城市与体育峰会。

Qingdao, at the joint invitation from the Montreal Municipal Government, Canada and Lake Placid Municipal Government, U.S., sent its delegation to the 2017 Summit of the World Union of Olympic Cities and the Fourth Smart Cities & Sport Summit. It is aimed to explore the present and future development of the Union by enhancing the development and the utilization of Olympic heritage and sharing the fruits of Olympic development. International Olympic exchanges and international sailing platforms shall be made full use of to comprehensively deepen the advantage of Qingdao's city brand as 'the sailing city' and to further develop the Leisure Sports Development Belt along the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road. During the summit, Qingdao delegation also held a special activity in promotion of Qingdao's city brand as 'the Sailing City'. They promoted to other city representatives the development of Qingdao and the sailing sport. Qingdao, as an epitome and a role model, helped introduce China's efforts and progress in sailing.
