摘要
隐喻理解作为隐喻能力的重要组成部分之一,已逐渐成为国内外语言学界研究的重点。本研究从梳理隐喻理解的相关研究出发,以实证研究分析认知风格与语言水平的关系以及这两个因素对隐喻理解产生的影响。结果表明:不同认知风格的被试,其语言水平在统计学上不存在显著性差异;隐喻理解水平受到认知风格的影响,场独立型认知风格的隐喻理解水平明显高于场依存型;语言水平是预测隐喻理解水平的一个显著变量,且二者存在显著的正相关关系。鉴于此,本文就如何提高二语隐喻理解水平展开讨论,以期为开展有效的隐喻教学提供借鉴。
As an important part of metaphoric competence,metaphor comprehension has gradually become the focus of linguistics both at home and abroad.This paper starts from the related research of metaphor comprehension,analyzes the relationship between cognitive style and language proficiency as well as the influence of these two factors on metaphor comprehension by empirical research.The results indicate that students with different cognitive styles don't show any statistically significant difference in linguistic level;the level of metaphor understanding is influenced by cognitive style,and the metaphorical comprehension of field-independent cognitive style is significantly higher than that of field-dependent.Language proficiency is a significant predicative variable of metaphor comprehension,and there is a significant positive correlation between the two.Therefore,this study discusses how to improve the level of second language metaphor comprehension so as to provide reference for effective metaphor teaching.
