A Study of the English-Chinese Translation of Passive Voice in English for Specific Purpose

本研究以专门用途英语中被动句的翻译为研究对象,以目的论为理论基础,对专门用途英语中被动语态的汉译方法进行描述和总结。在忠于原文的基础上,通过实际翻译案例,总结出可以将英语被动句译为汉语主动句、汉语被动句、含有"由"字的句子等翻译策略。通过使用以上翻译策略,可以使译文更加流畅、更加符合汉语表达习惯。

Based on the Skopos Theory, the study explores the translation strategies of passive voice in English for specific purpose, and describes the translation process as well. On the basis of the source text, thestudy summarizes the translation strategies such as translating the English passive voice into the active voice inChinese, translating the English passive voice into the passive sentences in Chinese, translating the Englishpassive voice into the sentences with YOU in Chinese. By following the strategies, translators are sure to trans-late fluently and idiomatically.
