In this paper, the transition problems and challenges faced by the libraries, and the significance of big data public resources on library in the era of big data are mainly analyzed and discussed, it is put forward how to use public resources to establish its own big data platform, to provide a more detailed and more personalized information service for users, as well as new information access mode and channel.
