Study on the Source of the SF Mecha Animation Cultural Theme

机甲动漫是日本动漫发展史上最重要的题材类型之一。从文化形态学的角度考察,其源头大致可归结为三个方面:坦克的发明与使用、美国科幻文化的渗透、特摄片的催化。迄今为止,日本机甲动漫经历了初创期、繁荣期、转型期和衰退期等四个阶段。在这个过程中,日本动漫创作者的代际更替具有决定性的影响。而破解日本机甲动漫文化主题的锁钥就是"和魂洋才"这个二元命题。

Mecha animation is one of the most important themes in the development history of Japanese animation. From the perspective of cultural morphology, the source of mecha animation can be broadly attributed to three aspects, namely the invention and application of the tank, the penetration of American science fiction and the promotion of SFX. So far, the Japanese mecha animation has experienced four stages of development, namely the start-up period, the flourishing period, the transitional period and the declining period. In this process, the intergenerational replacement of the Japanese animators has a decisive influence. The key to interpreting the cultural theme of Japanese mecha animations is to working out the dualism of ＂the foreign culture Japanized＂.
