关于发展潮州古城文化旅游的几点思考

Reflection on the Development of Cultural tourism in the Ancient City of Chaozhou

作为全球"潮文化"发祥地、"国家历史文化名城"的广东潮州,是广东省第一批获得"国家历史文化名城"荣誉称号的两座城市之一,拥有"中国潮州菜之乡"、"中国优秀旅游城市"、"中国工艺美术之都"等36项城市名片,是厦深高铁沿线、闽粤两省乃至我国东南沿海地区保存最完整、底蕴最深厚、文物最集中、特色最鲜明的一座古城,在省内具有稀缺性、唯一性、原真性,被誉为中华"古文化原真博物馆、非物质文化遗产活古城"。始建于西汉初年的潮州古城,保留有720多条街巷,大批明、清时期古民居建筑至今格局完整,有广济桥、许驸马府等7处全国重点文物保护单位,历史上均为历代郡、州、路、府的治所,是粤东地区政治、经济、文化中心,也是闽、赣、粤东韩江流域的商品集散地及海外贸易的始发地,历经沧桑特色犹在。潮州古城年接待游客占到全市接待总人数的50%以上,如何进一步活化、利用潮州古城的文化旅游功能,维护好这座举世罕见的"活古城",值得我们深思。

Home of Chaozhou culture, Chaozhou is one of the two cities in the first group in Guangdongprovince to win the honorary title"state-listed historical cultural city". It has 36 name cards such as"home ofChouzhou food in China","outstanding tourist city in China", and"capital of arts and crafts in China". It isthe best-preserved ancient city with the most profound cultural foundation, many cultural relics, and distinctfeatures along the Xiamen-Shenzhen express railway in Fujian and Guangdong provinces, even in the south-east coast in China. It is rare, unique, and authentic in the province and is hailed as"authentic museum of an-cient culture, live ancient city of intangible cultural heritage". Established in the early Xihan Dynasty, Chao-zhou preserves over 720 lanes, and the structure of many ancient civilian residential buildings in the Ming andQing dynasties remains intact. There are 7 key national cultural relic protection units including Guangji Bridgeand Xu's House(Xu was an emperor's son-in-law). Chaozhou had been the capital city of Jun, Zhou, Lu andFu in history and had been the political, economic and cultural centers. It had been also the distribution centerof commodities in the Hanjiang valley along Fujian, Jiangxi, and East Guangdong, and the place of dispatch inforeign trade. The city character remains despite all the vicissitudes. Tourists whom Chaozhou host per year ac-count for more than half of the population in Chaozhou. It pays to reflect on how to make use the functions ofcultural tourism of Chaozhou and how to protect this rare"live ancient city"in the world.
