A Study ofthe Strike Movement by Postal Employees in 1932

1932年由邮资加价风波引发的"巩固邮基运动",表层看起来是邮工为维护自身经济权益,借助各种力量对政府当局的颉颃,然其背后的诸多因素却使事态变得相当复杂,削弱了此次运动的"合理性"与"正当性"。造成这一结果的深层原因,是此时南京国民政府对工人的控制尚"心有余而力不足",工界成为各种政治力量竞相角逐的场域,罢工则成为打击政敌的有力武器。此次罢工运动为我们提供了别样的劳资纠纷样本,由此可以更加全面地看到劳工运动的另类面相。

The Movement of Consolidating the Basis of Postal Industry which was caused by rise in postage in 1932 seemed to be a struggle against the government to protect their own economic rights and interests with the aid of various powers.However,many factors behind it made the situation fairly complicated,and rationality and legitimacy of the movement weakened.The underlying cause of the result lies in that the Nanjing National Government was unable to manage workers well at that time,thus labor became one arena of political powers,and strike became a powerful weapon to fight against one's political opponents.This strike provides us a unique example of labor dispute,which showed more fully the unusual face of labor movement.
