Establishing the Chinese Model of Organ Donation and Transplant System to Provide High Level Ethical Transplant Service for the Chinese People

在党中央、国务院支持下,在国家卫生计生委和中国红十字会总会的直接领导下,经过十余年艰辛改革,我国已初步建立了一套公平、公正、阳光、透明的公民器官捐献移植体系,创立了移植事业的"中国模式"。"中国模式"的核心内涵是由政府主导,全社会动员响应,推进移植事业进步,为人民群众提供高质量的器官移植医疗服务。该模式是我国为破解全球性供体器官短缺难题所提出的中国方案,是对世界器官移植事业发展的贡献,可为世界上有相同文化背景及相似社会经济发展阶段的国家提供可借鉴的新模式。

After over 10 years of reform and exploration, China has initially established a fair, just, sunny and transparent national organ donation and transplant system under the leadership of the State Council of China, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Chinese Red Cross Society. Moreover, the Chinese model of organ donation and transplantation have been invented. The core connotation of this model is to provide high level ethical transplant service for the Chinese people under the strong support of the State Council of China. It is a new solution provided by China to deal with the global shortage of organ, and a new exploration and contribu- tion for the development of the world organ transplantation. It will also provide a donation model for some country with the same cultural background and social economical condition in the world.
