New Thinking on "Chinese Image"——The Perspective of transitivity of Functional Linguistics

随着经济全球化和中国崛起,中国在国际上的形象怎样,是否与自身发展相匹配,这些问题引起了学界关注,在这样的背景下一批关于中国形象的论文著作相继发表,然而这些研究中定性与定量结合分析的研究相对较少。本文试从功能语言学及物性角度来探讨中国形象,并选择一篇新闻报道进行具体的定性定量分析,并对中国形象研究提出一些思考和建议。

With the economic globalization and the rise of China, the issues of how China＇s image in the world and wheth- er it matches its own development has been attracted the attention of the academic community. In this situation, a number of papers and essays on Chinese image have been published. However, there are few studies on the combination of quali- tative and quantitative analysis in these studies. This paper tries to explore the Chinese image from the perspective of transitivity of functional linguistics , and chooses a news report for qualitative and quantitative analysis, and then gives some reflections and suggestions on the study of Chinese image.
