摘要
抗菌肽是机体为了应对病原微生物的入侵,在天然免疫激活后生成的一类防御性活性多肽。除了其抗菌活性,某些抗菌肽还具备抗肿瘤活性,抑制多个肿瘤细胞系增殖,包括防御素、大环寡肽、硫素等。肿瘤仍然是致死率和致病率很高的疾病。本文总结了已报道的植物抗菌肽的种类和抗肿瘤活性,并展望其潜在的临床治疗价值。
Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are short peptides produced by the innate immune defense mechanism of many organisms. Due to their ability to inhibit a wide range of cancer cells, some plant AMPs which include defensins, cyclotides, and thionins, have antitumor activities. Cancer remains a leading cause of high morbidity and mortality worldwide. Here, we provided an overview of plant AMPs antitumor activities with a perspective on potential therapeutic clinical applications.
